Will BlackBerry Playbook with 4G get launched on July 31st?

Although all recent tablet headlines have been grabbed by iPad Mini, Kindle Fire and Nexus 7 Fudgezilla reports that RIM will launch a $550 4G-enabled (LTE) PlayBook on Tuesday, July 31st.

The new tablet is rumored to arrive with a host of features including 7-inch display, fast mobile web connection, 32GB memory, 3MP front-facing camera and 5MP rear camera and 1.5 GHz dual-core processor. It will be powered by PlayBook OS 2.0.

There is one catch to the launch though. Reports suggest that the initial launch will be in Canada only.

It is said that Bell will be the only operator to supply the new BlackBerry tablet as of now. US networks are still anxious that BlackBerry devices will not do well in the market.

The present PlayBook constantly declined in sales quarter on quarter and forced RIM to axe the 16GB model last month.

The new tablet is supposed to be a profit maker.
