ubinow creates Rugby World Cup game

UK design firm and developer ubinow has delivered a project that is based on the AR-Sports platform.

This project is a game where the user needs to point their phone at a 2011 IRB World Cup ticket to start a game of rugby. The 2011 IRB World Cup, incidentally, starts on Friday.

Any rugby fan that has bought a ticket for the World Cup can participate in the game. All they have to do is download the reader and then point it toward an enhanced ticket. To start the game, the user needs to choose a country. The aim of the game to convert as many kicks as possible with each subsequent kick becoming more difficult with distance increasing and wind conditions deteriorating.

ubinow believes that AR ticketing is a first in the industry and it has the potential to help various brands market their products around the 2012 Olympics.
