Twitter ads now for business in Canada, Ireland and the UK

In April Twitter Ads went live in the US and helped connect businesses with local people and beyond.

The initial success of the platform in helping businesses build better customer relationships and increase loyalties and revenues has prompted Twitter to expand the ads to Canada, Ireland and the UK.

Businesses using the platform can amplify their presence while totally controlling their promoted messages. The promoted accounts allow advertisers to create communities of active followers who can influence the business performances.

Advertisers are charged for ads when people follow them, or retweet, reply, favourite or click on promoted tweets. There are no charges for organic Twitter activities.

Fiksu believes Twitter will dominate the mobile ad market by 2014 and this move could further promote the concept and its reach.

Twitter released a blog for small businesses in Canada, Ireland and the UK where it asked them to visit ads.twitter.com for getting their queries answered.
