Refurbished iPhones are being sold by Vodafhone at a discount.
The 8GB 3G model to the high end 32 GB 3GS model are being offered by Vodafone for free. The tariffs available for the refurbished handset vary from £25 to £75. Vodafone expects to sell 50,000 units a day.
A handset repairer has provided the reason behind such a sale. He has remarked that they are repairing as many as 20 iPhones per day. A separate department has been made for it. The company has enough iPhones to kick off this sale.
Along with the iPhone sale, Vodafone has launched two apps for this smartphone. The Vodafone 360 People Sync App comes for free and allows users to seamlessly transfer to the iPhone. The Vodafone Navigation App will be free till 10th April 2010. This App provides a voice guided navigation.
Only the 8GB 3GS refurbished iPhones are being sold by O2 through their website. The first day Orange conducted the iPhone sale, 30,000 handsets were sold.
