Sky Go to be the rebranded service for Sky Mobile TV and Sky Player

Sky Mobile TV and Sky Player will be together rebranded as Sky Go and launched on July 6th.

This means that the firm’s 10 million UK and Ireland customers will now be able to watch Sky program channels on tablets, laptops, PCs and mobiles without paying anything extra.

Each household will be allowed to register up to two devices and connect to all five channels of Sky Sports and Sky News and ESPN. More channels will be added in the future. Laptops and PCs will allow customers access to more than 30 live channels and on-demand content. Xbox and Fetch TV users can also access these channels. Starting August, non Sky customers can access the channels by paying between £15 and £40 a month.

Sky understands the modern customer’s demand for content on the move through smartphones and tablets and the new brand will be able to cater to their ever increasing demand.
