Samsung well on its way to sell 1 million Galaxy Tab tablets

Since Samsung launched its Galaxy Tab tablet it has managed to sell more than 600,000 units in a month.

The figure was released by Korea Herald. What this means to Samsung is that it is well on course to achieve its target of 1 million units to be sold by Christmas.

The Galaxy Tab tablet from Samsung made its debut in Europe in mid October and is now available in more than 30 countries across the world. In South Korea alone, Samsung managed to sell more than 30,000 units of Galaxy Tab within a week of its launch in partnership with SK Telecom.

But very soon, Samsung is going to face stiff competition from iPad, the first ever tablet. Apple is supposed to launch their iPad in South Korea very soon and it has already received pre-bookings for more than 40,000 units. The battle is just about to heat up.
