It has been identified by Opera that the time between 8pm and midnight witnesses the maximum mobile browsing.
This has been stated in the latest report by Opera called State of the Mobile Web report.
The aim was to monitor the use of the Opera Mini browser. It was seen that in 10 of the countries where the survey was conducted, evening was the peak period for browsing.
This survey proves that the current generation of mobile phone users is developing “two screen behaviour”. This indicates that the user sits on the couch watching TV and surfing the internet through the mobile phone in the evening.
In the U.K. it was noticed that the browsing period extended from 8am to noon.
Jon von Tetzchner, the co-founder of Opera, said that the company needs more manpower to take care of the servers in the evening because of the increasing amount of mobile data used in that period.
