One in two parents join FB to track their children

Many Facebook users in the USA got shocking news from OnlineEducation.net that their parents don’t join the social networking site just to be friends with them but also to keep track of their activities.

As many as 43% parents keep track of their children’s Facebook profile on a daily basis and 31% parents do this at least four to five times a week. 41% parents keep a tab on the status updates of their kids while 39% are interested to see friends’ posts on their kids’ walls.

Almost 92% of all Facebook users are friends with their parents on the social networking sites. One out of three of such Facebook users admit to be often embarrassed when parents post “all grown”, “baby” and “beautiful” in their daughters’ walls and “game”, “good luck” and “money” on their sons’ walls.

30% have admitted that they would “unfriend” their parents if they could.
