One in give vacationers use mobiles for booking holidays

As per Tradedoubler Insight Unit more than half of the tech savvy vacationers are now opting for their own budget getaways instead of letting the travel agents do so.

Travelers now don’t mind complicating their travel plans to include poolside relaxing to holiday shopping so that they get the best possible deals for their dream vacations.

Of all the vacationers only 20% are now choosing all inclusive deals and 40% want package deals while the majority now books their travel and stay separately.

In a new trend there is an increased use of performance marketing sites and apps like cash back, loyalty and reward, price comparison and voucher codes. 59% customers use these sites and apps for holidays while the percentages for hotels and flights are 57% and 53% respectively.

Europe spends €98.1 billion on travel online and is the largest sector on the web. The forecast is 7% increase to €112.2 billion in 2014.
