Nokia set to launch 808 PureView

MWC delegates were stunned in February when Nokia launched a smartphone with four times more megapixels than the top smartphones of today.

Many wondered about the need for 41 megapixels and the reasons for continuing with Symbian. And people also wondered about the number of photos that can be stored in the memory of the device.

The 808 PureView from Nokia has Carl Zeiss optics and can zoom without any loss of clarity. Seven pixels of information can be captured and full HD 1080p video recording is possible. The first use of ‘CD-like levels of quality’ through Nokia Rich Recording for audio recording is also available.

Dolby Digital Plus for 5.1 channel surround sound playback and Dolby Headphone technology are also available with the 808 PureView.

Jo Harlow, head of smart devices at Nokia, said that Nokia has raised the bar in imaging performance with the 808 PureView and will not stop at this only.
