Nokia Asha 210 now in Nigeria

Nokia’s Asha 210 was unveiled in Nigeria on May 7.

The handset has a QWERTY keyboard and the world’s first ever dedicated WhatsApp button. The Nokia Asha 210 focuses on social media and aims to keep users in close contact with their friends and family all the time.

“The Nokia Asha 210 allows social consumers new ways to express their personalities through colors, designs and innovations,” said Timo Toikkanen, EVP, Mobile Phones, Nokia. People can use the phone to easily update their social networks and stay in touch with friends to share content.

The new handset comes with the Nokia Xpress Browser that utilizes Nokia’s cloud technology to reduce data consumption by up to 90%. It has single and dual SIM models and customers can switch SIM cards without switching the device off.

The device is available in black, cyan, magenta, white and yellow. It cost $72 and will ship from Q2 2013.
