Cash Passport, introduced by Travelex, is basically a pre-paid card that is available in seven different currencies. Travelex has recently launched a mobile App that lets users check and manage funds through their mobile phone.
The procedure for using this card will be same like any other pre-paid mobile card; however, there would be no charges for using it overseas.
With the help of this card mobile users will be able to check their balance, recharge the card and will also be able to set up alerts according to their convenience. This service will be launched by the next year and will include a low balance alert for the cardholders to remember recharging the card.
According to Mr. Mark Horgan, Managing Director of cards and mobile payments at Travelex, this product is a milestone achieved and is an innovative idea in the prepaid travel card industry which will provide value added service to the customers.
