According to a prediction by market analyst, Juniper Research, there will be a huge rise in mobile payment transactions by the next two years.
Judging by the increasing number of Smartphone sale, Juniper Research has said that 2012 will see mobile payment transactions getting doubled to almost $200 billion.
The reason behind this increase in mobile payment transactions will be the ease and security of using mobile payment applications. Mobile users are also becoming more aware of e-commerce purchases via mobiles.
The payment for digital and physical goods will increase from its current amount of under $100 billion to over $200 billion in the near future.
A 2010-2014 report released by Mobile payments for Digital and Physical Goods: Players, Markets and Opportunities state that the number of physical goods purchase will multiply rapidly in developed regions like Western Europe and North America.
Merchants, retailers and brands will also pull up their revenues using mobile web payments and applications.
