Mobile Games Publishing from FB to enable revenue sharing for the social media giant

The relationship between Facebook and mobile is on the up and why not? Now 41% of Facebook ad revenue is now generated by mobile devices.

However, Facebook Mobile Games Publishing has now been launched. This service will offer small and medium developers a head start to have their mobile games noticed in the increasingly crowded market.

Facebook will operate on a revenue share model in exchange for securing high quality and long term players for its partners. Additionally it will also provide analytics tools with guidance and promotional content to push games across its apps.

The pilot launch includes names like WeMade Entertainment, Space Ape, Outplay Entertainment, KiwiGames, Gamevil, Gameloft, Dragonplay, Certain Affinity, Brainbow and 5th Planet.

Facebook has tackled app discovery using mobile app install ads with recommendations being pushed to Facebook users as notifications. The new scheme is now designed to support those that can’t afford to pay big upfront.
