Microsoft will unveil its plans for the Windows Phone 7 series with Xbox Live element in the MIX Conference scheduled for next month.
However, it is being predicted that this application will not be as far reaching as App Store of Apple. Microsoft’s UK-based head of Consumer Marketing for Windows Phone, Oded Ran, remarked that the company is focused on the quality of the applications launched, not the quantity.
Microsoft does not want to be a part of the rat race and develop thousands of games in different categories in their app store. Instead, they want to concentrate of the quality of their products.
According to Ran, Microsoft wants to build a platform for the leading game developers. The company will work on the consistency of their operating system to help game developers. He said with a special reference to Android that Microsoft will strive harder to please the handset partners.
