iPad to Have Multiplayer Game Engines

Exit games have decided to extend the turn based real-time multiplayer games technologies to Apple’s latest wonder, the iPad.

The introductory prices for these multiplayer games on iPad will be available for a reduced price.

The Germany based company had previously made Neutron and Photon products for leading platforms including J2ME, Mac, iPhone and Android. Exit had also developed several browsing games.

A multiplayer development framework has been developed with the name of Photon. It can be obtained as licensed software with a starting price of $100. Turn-key features are offered through managed services called Neutron.

The CTO of Exit games, Chris Wegmann, is of the opinion that the iPad opens up several avenues for developers. It is expected that the iPad will encourage game developers to work as hard as the iPhone.

The products launched by Exit Games will encourage developers to use this new opportunity. With quicker time-to-market, the amount of risk is lower.
