HTC looking to hit 60 million

Grapevine has it that HTC has asked its suppliers to supply enough parts for the company to produce up to 60 million handsets in 2011.

This news does not come as a surprise given the fact the HTC is considered the unofficial official Android device maker. HTC has seen huge success selling its models Wildfire, Legend and Desire.

September 2010 saw HTC’s global sales figures reaching T$27.1 billion. This figure is more than double of what the company achieved in the same month in the previous year. The third quarter revenue for HTC was calculated at T$75.85 billion compared to their third quarter revenue of T$33.81 billion exactly a year ago.
