HTC has unveiled its latest Windows phone HD2, which uses the company’s own user interface called HTC Sense.
HTC had introduced this user interface with their previous phone HTC Hero. The main aim of launching HTC Sense was to make the phone more user friendly with simpler operations. The predominant principles around which HTC Sense was made are – Make it mine, Stay Close and Discover the Unexpected.
The 4.3-inch touch sensitive screen of HTC HD2 is a first of its kind in a Windows Phone. A few safety measures have been adopted while designing the phone as well. Proximity sensors have been included to stop false screen touches.
The mobile processor, Qualcomm’s 1Ghz Snapdragon, lets users have a single contact view of conversation snapshots irrespective of the mode of communication like emails, texts, calls or Facebook. HD2 allows users to download a host of applications from Windows Marketplace as it uses Windows Mobile 6.5.
The HTC HD2 boasts of a 5-megapixel camera and HTC Peep, which is a Windows-based application like Twitter. The other feature that deserves a mention is the phone’s Wi-Fi connectivity. A car kit is also available with the phone.
