Google Play catching up with App Store

The wide gap that existed between Apple’s App Store and Google Play seems to be closing gradually.

The Android Store has showed an aggregate daily revenue growth of 43% between August and November. This is more than double of the App Store figure of 21%.

However, despite this immense growth that the Android Store is showing there is still significant gap that still exists when someone compares the figures of App Store. In November, considering an average say, the App Store revenue stood at $15 million. The comparative figure for Google Play is $3.5 million.

The USA sits on top of the market revenue figures and it is followed by Japan, the UK and Australia. Japan has the fastest growing iPhone market with a growth of 138%. China with 118% and Russia with 96% are next. Android grew the most in Korea at 94% followed by Japan at 60% and France at 46%.
