ePrize has acquired Cellit

Cellit has been bought by ePrize to move into mobiles for its marketing and promotions business.

The purchase, made at an undisclosed price will make mobiles the primary platform for ePrize. At the moment, ePrize has been transferring customer loyalty points, campaigns and coupons from web to mobile.

ePrize estimates 88% of its client campaigns will use mobiles this year, up 20% from 2011 and this is the primary reason for the company to shift its platform. CEO Matt Wise has said that rapid mobile technology adaptation is changing the corporate strategies for branding and promotion.

With the acquisition of Cellit ePrize will increase its client base by 450, reaching almost 1,000. They are estimated to earn revenues of $70 million in 2012. The staff strength is also expected to grow by a quarter of the existing number of 350.

The biggest client names now include AT&T, Coca Cola, KFC, Microsoft, Subway, Taco Bell and Yahoo!.
