Developers can now use UK BlackBerry tech center

RIM has opened its first global BlackBerry Tech Centre at its EMEA HQ in Slough, UK.

Developers looking make the most from BlackBerry 10 publishing will now have access to the workshop on weekdays during office hours, from 9am to 5pm. RIM staff members will be at hand to provide guidance and support to them.

There will be a different focus on each day – porting from Android and others could be the focus on Fridays and HTML5 could be the focus on Wednesdays.

Alec Saunders, VP – Developer Relations, RIM, said that the new center has designated space for developers where they can mingle with experienced RIM developers and benefit from their skills and resources. This will help them create fantastic apps for BlackBerry 10.

Developers will now be able to submit their BlackBerry 10 apps to the BlackBerry App World storefront and a large number should come from UK developers.
