Cross-device gameplay with Rovio Account

Rovio, the maker of Angry Birds has now introduced Rovio Account, a brand new feature to provide customers cross-device gameplay.

The launch is a result of user requests to continue playing their games across different phones and tablets without losing progress data.

It also means users that play on shared devices can play separate Angry Birds games and achieve their own unique scores. At the same time their progress points and their achievements across different mobiles can be merged into a single account in the cloud.

Rovio Account launched globally for The Croods movie and as of now the feature is only available for the original Angry Birds for iOS in Poland and Finland. However, Rovio promised to add more areas and more features to the technology.

In an interesting bit of news Rovio created a bespoke version of Angry Birds Friends to help a fan propose to his girlfriend.
