7.3 million daily mobile users on Instagram

The new comScore data has shared that Instagram, the photo sharing platform averaged 7.3 million daily mobile users in August.

This is better than the 6.9 million average of Twitter.

Instagram is a Facebook owned app and users spent around 257 minutes on an average on the platform during August, compared to the average 170 minutes spent by Twitter users.

It took less than two years for Instagram to cross the 100 million users mark. Twitter, on the other hand, only just crossed the 500 million mark at the age of seven.

An astonishing fact says that Twitter had 29 million unique smartphone user visitors in the USA compared to 22 million for Instagram but still didn’t manage the as much usage as Instagram did.

Twitter is also available on BlackBerry app and the mobile web compared to just Android and iOS for Instagram.

Instagram was recently culled by Twitter but no harm seems to have been done.
