63% growth in US m-commerce predicted for 2013

Internet Retailer has published a new report in which data shows that the 500 largest mobile commerce companies in the world are all set to increase their mobile sales by a whopping 71% in 2013.

What this means is that the total value of mobile commerce in 2013 is set to cross $30 billion.

Of these 500 companies 385 are from the US. Their contribution to this revenue amount is projected to be 83% or $25.4 billion.

Mobile commerce in the US is set to go up by 63% this year. eBay sales alone will generate $8.8 billion. This rate of growth is four times that of last year when the growth generated was a measly 16% compared to 2013.

E-retailers around the globe have realized that mobiles can change their business game. As a result they are desperate to launch new mobile businesses or expand their current mobile businesses.
