4G go ahead for Everything Everywhere

Ofcom, the UK telecom regulator has given permission to Everything Everywhere, owner of the T-Mobile and Orange networks, the permission to use their existing bandwidth to launch 4G services.

This means that 4G could launch in the country earlier than expected. Everything Everywhere will be allowed to offer 4G services from September 11.

Reports earlier today suggested Everything Everywhere could trade under its own name by dropping the T-Mobile and Orange brands. However, it is now expected to launch a third brand later in 2012.

The rebranding is not expected to affect the Everything Everywhere stores that are on trial. They are located across the UK.

A spokesperson for Everything Everywhere said that the company confirms that it is planning to launch a new brand in the UK later this year. This new brand will be there alongside the existing T-Mobile and Orange brands. More information on this plan will come soon.
