“Workproof” device from Motorola and JCB

JCB’s visco-elastic protective casing has been added to the “lifeproof” Motorola Defy+ to make it “workproof”.

This device has been especially created for people that work in taxing conditions – adventure, construction and engineering.

The device has a tough exterior and in addition has measuring and technical JCB apps like DIY store finder, decibel meter, torch and spirit level, apt for the market it is aiming to capture. There is also the “Push To Talk” feature through which the device can be converted into a walkie-talkie where colleagues within the same caller group can communicate from different locations.

JCB’s expertise in the construction industry has helped Motorola to reach this new audience by catering to their specific needs.

The other features of the phone include Android 2.3 Gingerbread, 1GHz processor, 3.7-inch high resolution touchscreen, Scratch resistant Gorilla Glass, 5MP flash camera, 2GB memory that can be expanded up to 32GB.

The RRP of the device is £259.99.
